Are you ready to embark on an amazing disc golf adventure? Finding fun and excitement on the open road is all about being prepared. The next time you’re perusing PDGA Events, Disc Golf Scene, or UDisc, remember to check-out DiscDrifters for great travel deals!

Before you pack your bags, make sure you bring these five essential items:

1. Discs – This seems obvious, but bring a variety of discs that you love and backup ones in case one gets lost. Remember to bring over-stable discs for windy and sea-level conditions and under-stable for high altitudes!

2. Water and snacks – Stay hydrated and fueled up with water and snacks. We like to bring powdered electrolytes for the water bottle and trail mix (without chocolate). Remember, this is a physically demanding sport, so be sure to take care of your body.

3. Sunscreen and bug spray – Protect your skin and body against the elements. Wear that sunscreen and bring some bug spray along, too. We also bring a “Tick Twister” tool for safely removing ticks! You’ll feel good and play even better.

4. Course maps and eats – Plan ahead – there’s a good chance you won’t get cellular signal at rural courses. Make sure to download or print out course maps of the places you’ll be playing.  When you use the DiscDrifters app, you’ll get an email showing cool courses in the area and some great places to eat!

5. Cash – Be prepared to pay fees for some courses. Bring some cash with you to avoid the hassle of finding an ATM or paying for your game with a card.

With these five things in tow, you’re ready to conquer any disc golf road trip like the adventurous, exciting, and inspiring pro you are. Let’s go!
